As if there was not already enough to do at Rocky Bay Cove, we offer guests the opportunity to sail without even needing to get on the water!

A fleet of four remote controlled yachts is available for hire.

Why not hold a regatta, or complete in match racing?

All sailing is supervised in person by the Commodore of the Rocky Bay Cove Yacht Club, Frank Newman, who will offer instruction on how to sail the yachts.

Sailing takes place in Rocky Bay Cove  on a course set by the Club Commodore.

The Electrorn yachts are very sophisticated and life-like. The Electron was created by one of New Zealand's most respected yacht designers, Des Townson, and has generated a loyal following of owners who enjoy the thrill of competing in a one design class where skill and experience rather than the cost of equipment matters. There is in fact an Electron Club in New Zealand which may be found at www.electron.co.nz.

One or all boats may be hired by the half hour. The cost of this activity is $50 per half-hour, per boat. This service is only available to property hire customers. Contact us to book this service.
